Finance you can run the company on
Fractional FP&A for growth-stage tech teams. Clear forecasts, useful board reporting, and finance workflows that hold up when the business changes.
At Circle, I helped bring GTM forecasts within 5%. At Ridgeline, I led finance and data analytics through a $100M Series B. I now lead FP&A at Deepwatch. I bring that operating experience to teams that need a forecast they can trust and reporting they can act on.
Where I help
The difference
I'm an FP&A leader who builds controlled finance workflows. The model needs to add up, but it also needs to show where each number came from, what is still a draft, and who has signed off.
In practice · Butler Finance
Butler Finance is a prototype I am building to put that approach into software. It brings departmental models and actuals into plan-versus-actual review, helps prepare reforecast drafts, and assembles executive and board reporting. Calculation stays separate from interpretation; changes and reporting pass through human review.
It is an example of how I design a finance workflow, not a client deployment or a product with claimed customer traction. I can walk through a sanitized example of the approach.
Experience
I am Senior Director of FP&A at Deepwatch. Earlier roles span Circle, Ridgeline, Shift, Google, Amazon, and Amex GBT. My work has included integrated forecasting, workforce planning, executive and board reporting, and the finance side of Ridgeline's $100M Series B. I hold an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business.
